Nutmeg Mace

Mace is the nutmeg flower (aril), which shaped like a lacy-covering on the nutmeg seed shell. The origin colour is red, and becoming a yellowish-brown spice later when stored in dried place. It is used in baked goods, particularly donuts and cakes, as well as puddings and custards. But mace can also be a part of cheese dishes, souffles, sauces, soups, poultry, and fish recipes.
