Why Indonesian Coffee Pricing is Always Custom

Green coffee is a globally traded commodity. Prices for Indonesian Arabica and Robusta are influenced by the New York ‘C’ Contract (Arabica) and London LIFFE Robusta futures — both of which shift daily. A fixed price list published today would be inaccurate within weeks.

What we offer instead is a transparent, tailored quote built on your actual requirements. This means you get a price that reflects your volume, chosen grade, processing method, and shipping terms — not an inflated buffer to cover market uncertainty.

What Shapes Your Price

  • Origin & grade
  • Processing method

What Goes Into Your Quote

When you request a quote from Swarna Agro, here is exactly what we factor in:

1. Origin & Grade

Each origin and grade carries a different market premium above the commodity base price. Grade 1 Specialty lots command a higher premium than standard commercial grades. Organic-certified and traceable single-estate lots are priced accordingly.

2. Volume & Contract Type

Larger volume orders (FCL and above) and longer-term supply contracts typically receive more competitive pricing than spot/trial orders. We offer both: 1 MT trial lots and annual multi-container contracts.

3. Incoterms & Destination

FOB (Free On Board) pricing is quoted from the Indonesian loading port. CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) pricing includes sea freight and marine insurance to your destination port. We serve buyers in 25+ countries across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.

4. Processing Method

Fully washed and honey-processed lots typically carry a small premium over Giling Basah (wet-hull) due to additional processing steps and lower yield. We clearly specify the process in every quote.

5. Certification Requirements

Organic, Fair Trade, or Rainforest Alliance certified lots are priced with the relevant certification premium. Standard export documentation (Phytosanitary, COO/SKA, Bill of Lading) is included in all quotes.

6. Harvest Season & Availability

Fresh-crop lots (just harvested) vs. carry-over stock may have different pricing. We are transparent about the harvest year and lot age in every offer. Seasonal origins like Bajawa Flores are available in limited quantity per crop cycle.

How the Quote Process Works

1. Submit Your Requirements

Tell us the origin, grade, volume (MT or FCL), Incoterms, and destination port. The more detail you provide, the more accurate your quote.

2. Receive Your Quote

We respond with a formal price offer within 24 business hours, including FOB or CIF pricing, payment terms (L/C or T/T), and availability confirmation.

3. Request a Sample

Before committing to a full order, you can request green coffee samples (200–500g) for cupping. We ship globally via air freight with full cupping notes and technical data.

4. Confirm & Ship

Once you approve the sample and accept the quote, we prepare export documentation and ship within 3–4 weeks. Real-time shipment tracking provided.

Common Questions About Indonesian Coffee Pricing

Do you offer long-term supply contracts?

Yes. We offer annual supply contracts with fixed-volume commitments, which typically unlock more stable and competitive pricing. Contracts can lock in volume (MT per quarter) while allowing price adjustments based on market benchmarks at agreed intervals.

Is the price per kg or per MT?

Pricing is quoted per kilogram (USD/kg) FOB Indonesian port. We also provide total container cost estimates (per FCL) to make budget planning easier for your procurement team.

What payment terms are available?

We accept Letter of Credit (L/C) at sight or usance, and Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) — typically 30% deposit upon order confirmation and 70% before shipment. Long-term clients may negotiate alternative terms based on established trading history.

Can I lock in a price before harvest?

For forward contracts on upcoming harvest lots — particularly Gayo Arabica or Bajawa Flores — we can discuss pricing frameworks ahead of the crop. Contact our team to discuss forward supply arrangements.

Are there additional costs beyond the quoted price?

FOB quotes include: bean cost, processing, grading, export packaging (GrainPro-lined jute bags), and standard export documentation. Not included in FOB: sea freight, marine insurance, import duties, and destination customs charges. CIF quotes include sea freight and insurance. We are fully transparent about what is and is not included in every offer.

What is the minimum order to get a price quote?

There is no minimum to receive a quote. We can quote from 1 MT (trial order) up to multi-FCL annual contracts. Pricing scales favorably with volume, but we are happy to work with buyers at any stage.
